SODIS is a simple and inexpensive method of purifying water using solar light.  SODIS revolutionizes current conceptions of waste streams and resources.  In many places, pure water comes at the expense of firewood or gas for boiling or the cost and danger of using concentrated chlorine. SODIS is an innovation in water disinfection-- with plastic bottles and sunlight, even a child can safely purify water.
